Want to Make A Difference?

We need people who are willing to be that person who made a difference in a young persons’ life. If you can take time to participate in activities, put a name to a face and be prepared to have fun, you will probably be a great fit in our Kids’ Ministries.  We are looking for leaders and helpers who can regularly commit to our Sunday programming. We provide the materials and training; you provide the time and interest to change kids’ lives! Please contact Pastor Michelle for more information

Information on some of the roles available in Kids’ Ministries:

What does a Small Group Leader do?
These are our Sunday morning shepherds – they help to lead our kids through our carefully prepared lessons and bring insight to God’s Word to our children. The commitment required for this role is either full time (weekly) or half time (every other week).  SGLs need to review and prepare mid week for the upcoming lesson in the curriculum provided.  All crafts and materials are ready for you on Sunday morning.  We ask that SGLs are ready to mingle with the kids by the 9:05/10:55 sign in time.

What does a Small Group Helper do? Similar to a SGL, a helper is ready to assist the leader in shepherding our kids through our lesson.  The role is flexible as sometimes one child might need individual attention, other times the helper might be assisting with crafts or leading a water fountain field trip! SG helpers need to be prepared to take direction from their leader, who will give them an element of the lesson or instructions on where they will be assisting that morning.  The commitment level for a SG helper is either full time (every week) or half time (every other week) and requires no mid week prep. We ask that SG helpers are ready to mingle with the kids by the 9:05/10:55 sign in time.

What does a Registration Worker do? Every Sunday we need to ensure that our children are securely signed in and that parents have a family card on hand for picking up their child when the service ends. We require people who are ready to assist parents with registration, answer questions about family cards and to greet children with a big smile!  The commitment level for a Registration Worker is either full time (every week) or half time (every other week) and requires no mid week prep. We ask that Registration Volunteers arrive before 9:05/10:55 so that they are prepared to admit children promptly at those times. When the Kids’ Program commences (9:25/11:15 approx), the Registration Worker is finished.

What does a Nursery Worker do? A nursery worker is prepared to meet the needs of the babies entrusted to the nursery. This might be reading a story, playing with cars or holding a crying infant. One thing it does NOT involve is changing diapers – that’s what mom and dad are for!  The commitment level for a Nursery Worker is either once per month or more, if desired. This role requires no mid week prep. We ask that Nursery Workers arrive before 9:05/10:55 so that they are prepared to receive babies promptly and keep safe ratios at that time.

Want to sign up? Have a desire to serve, but don’t see a good fit? We would love to hear from you. Contact Pastor Michelle either by phone (403) 949-3818 or email and we’ll get started on this great adventure!
