Small Groups

Small Group Ministries

Our mission at Airdrie Alliance is to help guide people to experience life transformation in Christ and one of the best ways to achieve this is through small groups.  Small groups are the best context for sustained life change to occur.  Here people study the bible and wrestle with its implications for their lives.  It's also where they pray, care for one another, and work together to impact our city and the world.

Practically speaking, there will never be a way for the staff or elders to personally minister to everyone who attends our church.  That's why we place such a high premium on group life.  It's how we minister effectively at Airdrie Alliance.  To find out more about our small groups, register to attend our next Group Link event.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are small groups?

Small Groups are made up of about 12 people who meet at least twice a month in order to pursue life transformation in Christ.  Together they discuss the challenges of life and how to bring the message of the bible to bear on these issues.  It's where they care for one another and are missed if they don't show up.  Group members also regularly serve together in creative and practical ways to bless those in the broader community.

What is the purpose and DNA of a small group?

Our small groups exist in order to provide an environment where people pursue biblical community, spiritual formation, missional impact and connection to the larger church.

  • Biblical community includes:  accountability, belonging and care.
  • Spiritual formation includes:  biblical beliefs, biblical practices and biblical virtues.
  • Missional impact includes:  participating locally, regionally, and globally to reach spiritual seekers with the gospel of Jesus and express true servanthood to those beyond the walls of the church as well as multiplying as a group.
  • Connection to the church includes: committing to Airdrie Alliance's Statement of Faith and Foundation document; supporting Airdrie Alliance's leadership and embodying the DNA of AAC's vision; participating in the corporate gathering of the church.

How do I join a small group?

If you're interested in joining a small group the next step is to attend a Group Link event.  To find out more about Group Link or to register for our next one click here.
